SWEAT's standard
cleaning process uses a 4 stage wash process. Each stage of the process
mixes a unique, specially designed additive into the wash water to
attain a specific goal. At the completion of all four steps your
item has received a superior cleaning, unmatched anywhere in the
industry.
Our exclusive enzyme
based soaps have low foaming surfactants and anti soil redeposition
agents that help prevent soils from returning to the equipment. Our
enzyme fighting stain remover helps eliminate blood, proteins, grass
and other organic contaminants from the items being cleaned.
Our low alkaline formula is compatible for leather and fabric dyes and
helps preserve the integrity of the tough articles to clean like gloves,
runners and skates. It is this bacteria, fungus and mould that causes
the unbearable stench of the filthy sports equipment. These organisms
are also responsible the break down and rot of the foam, leather and
fabric used in the construction of the gear.

nice finisher to the overall process. Parents and players always
comment on the clean, fresh scent of their professionally cleaned
equipment.
Stage 1: TAK
1
Contains enzymes produced by non pathogenic bacteria. When they come
in contact with protein oils – sweat, blood, proteins and fungi
they secrete an enzyme that breaks down the soil source allowing it to
be digested and removed easily from the fabric being cleaned. At the
same time it overpowers the food source of pathogenic bacteria such as
staphylococcus, weakening them for an easy kill by stage 3. This process
also helps in eliminating odours.
Stage 2: Penetrator
Contains a synergistic blend of detergents, detergent builders, water-soluble
solvents, and optical enhancing brighteners. The two distinct detergents
which are also known as surfactants reduce surface tension and allow
Stage 1 and the balance of ingredients in Stage 2 to penetrate and
do their job at breaking down matter. The detergent builders and
buffered alkalinity are designed to keep the pH at 9.5 which is where
stage 1 will perform best. The builders also soften water and suspend
soil after they are released. The water soluble solvents emulsify
oil based (sweat) soils. The optical brighteners attach themselves
to the fabric and when dry, escalate the reflection of light. This
makes the fabric appear brighter and cleaner.
Stage 3:
Force
Contains peroxyacetic acid and hydrogen peroxide. They have two functions.
Being on the acid side of the pH scale it neutralizes the residual
alkalinity left from Stage 2 leaving the end pH on the fabric at
the 6.5 to 7.0 which is optimum for the skin to not be sensitized.
The other functions they do are penetrating all bacteria, viruses,
and mould spores and killing them chemically. Once this takes place,
any odour that is still evident after Stage 1 and Stage 2 is totally
eliminated. Stage 3's peroxyacetic acid and hydrogen peroxide combination
have been proven in lab tests to kill germs such as staphylococcus
aureus and moulds at a 99.99% efficacy.
Stage 4: Signature
Implants a fresh odour to garments or equipment. This special formulation
is made up of a combination of natural essential oils. The unique
fragrance is a combination of 140 different natural oil extracts.
